Let's hope that if England bat first and are say 200 for 1 in 30 overs that they don't settle for 300 bcos somebody told them it was the par score at the Adelaide Oval !!!!

Bangladesh did beat England in the last World Cup ....... I wouldn't be taking anything for granted here given it's England and Bangladesh playing !!!

That time appears to be wrong and it's a 03:30 GMT start (14:00 local). I double checked on ICC site and cricinfo.

England on top here, 23-2 after 7 overs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,595 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Bangladesh recovered v well. Key part of the game now though

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,384 ✭✭✭booth70

    265/6 in the 49th....

Good fightback by Bangladesh ....u get the feeling they are going to finish about 30 runs short but they would have taken that from 8/2.....

A nervy chase nonetheless coming up for England

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,595 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

276 the target then. Very gettable, but a few early wickets.....

It's not bad anyway although stupid run outs don't help.

england in a bit of trouble now...lost 2 quick wickets.
    Morgan out for 0

Methinks Eoin Morgan is in big trouble :(

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,917 ✭✭✭BarryD

Which could eventually be in Ireland's best interest :)

At this stage Bangladesh were 124/4 England are 123/4, but Bangladeshi's didn't lose another wicket for almost 20 overs, can England do the same....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,595 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

    Agent Morgan does it again....

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,917 ✭✭✭BarryD

Who cares about betting odds - it's all in the head here now. Definitely advantage Bangladesh at the moment. England will have done well, if they steady the boat and win this one.

    7 an over needed now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,868 ✭✭✭thomasj

    Taylor gone now...

    Bangledesh now favourites

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 924 ✭✭✭lambayire

England are a shambles right now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 911 ✭✭✭endabob1

England on the ropes now for sure, Butler & Root need to make a stand or it's game over

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,872 ✭✭✭Dickerty

If either of Buttler or Root go in the next 15 overs, they are done. Very few runs in that bottom order...

Just shows ya how bad England are here - one more wicket before the 35th over conceded and I'd say it's curtains for them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,872 ✭✭✭Dickerty

And I don't understand why they have persisted with Morgan, with such a terrible run of form. It would be different with a long-term captain like Strauss or Cook. It really points to how little reliable experience they gave in their ranks, compared to a team like Sri Lanka, for example...

Luck will start coming into it soon, as these lads will have to start taking a few chances and there ain't too many chances left..

If England lose this and Ireland make the quarters it could be a turning point for Irish cricket

Yeah English players might start declaring for us :pac:

Why would the performance of England be a turning point for Irish Cricket? Surely Ireland's performances and making the QFs of their own accord should be enough of a turning point

Bangladesh have done really well in that powerplay to limit the boundaries - the pressure mounting on these lads to start hitting.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 924 ✭✭✭lambayire

Incredible how a simple push to long on/off is now almost always a comfortable 2.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 911 ✭✭✭endabob1

RR still under 10 an over, if Buttler stays in they will do it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,573 ✭✭✭pajor

Last 3 overs got 11, 11 and 8 runs. If they manage to keep that up they'll do it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,748 ✭✭✭✭Lovely Bloke

    then a 13.
