  • Ha! Not a chance there's anything wrong with that!

No way is that a penalty. How is someone Henderson's size supposed to stop when running full tilt to block a ball?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,308 ✭✭✭✭.ak

If 10/12 members of your team are ahead of the ball I think it's a decent option. The alternative is to try and spread the ball wide with 2/3 in support, or else to find your pack and setup a ruck mid way between 22 and 10m.

So long as you can 'guarantee' (9/10) that you have the distance then it's fine. A terrible result would be to scuff it, putting your entire team offside.

Yeah, its very dangerous, but guys like RK who have an absolutely massive boot it's a good tactic.

This conversation came up before actually when Dan Carter effectively got two bites of the apple against us in NZ because the rules favour the attacking team.

Saying that Henderson will probably be cited and given an 8 week ban or some bollocks.

bit harsh on henderson there, wasnt like he cleaned him out

  • Administrators Posts: 54,619 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

    Arnold on.

  • Henderson off for Diack (no injury, just for next weekend probably)

    That's not ideal.

In that instance is it better for him to nail him in a tackle? Then at least he can claim he was 'fully committed'

No chance was anyone going to stop dead in that space of time. Rediculous

Very clumsy from Henderson there, Jones was getting that ball away all day, he should have changed direction.

He doesn't have to stop dead in that space of time!

  • Try Dragons

I don't think he could stop but he didn't really make any attempt to slow or limit the contact. He ends up barging him.

I still think Ulster can win this if they start playing smarter.

Meanwhile, it is great to see Lyn Jones doing a very good job with Dragons. A great coach who I have a lot of time for.

    Highlight of the game.

Why bring someone in as fly half cover if you're going to put your best scrum half at 10 instead. If we're going to play like this I'd rather at least get the new guys up to speed.

There's dead ameoba's floating around with more substance than our game plan.

Yeah, I'm not sure. To an extent Ulster seem to pick their poison between Pienaar/Humphreys or Marshall/Pienaar. Neither is what they need really unforunately. The sooner Paddy Jackson is back the better.

It did. Nothing UPC can manage surprises me.

Yeah happened to me streaming online. Randomly switched to some strange game with a round bouncey ball with weird people speaking what I think was aboriginal, then switched back.

Ah would you stop. ;) You guys want the coach out if the coffee is too cold.

There is some poor game tactics in this game, but look at the lineout you just lost, things like that are far more costly and is 100% down to the players.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37,978 ✭✭✭✭irishbucsfan

    That hand-off...

Telling anyone they are head coach but will be replaced in 11 months was always going to be a recipe for disaster.

Get Brian McLaughlin back in, maybe he will accept the apology he was always due.

ID take a victory of the welsh next week instead of all the provinces winning anyway.

Absolutely beasted him, and Pienaar is not a small 9.

We are TERRIBLE. Every week. The tactics are crap! The players are playing crap. The entire setup is crap at the moment.

Dragons are so comfortable they can afford to put the nerdy lad from Saved by the Bell on in the 2nd row.

  • Administrators Posts: 54,619 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

    Try!

    Everyone seemed to stop? :pac:
