I used to hate cricket, but I now realise it was because I didn't understand it, or know the rules. Loving it now :)

I've been following Ireland all through the World Cup, gaining major respect from everyone over here (Australia).

I'm at work so ill have to listen to it on ABC radio. try and get some work done at the same time :)

    Great start

It's a good start on this pitch. It's small and fast, anything less than 350 will be reached by India though. 350 is the score Ireland need to make

    47/0 off 7. Keep going.

I agree, and the pace the are moving the scoreboard at the moment seems to suggest they are well up to the task. India are definitely more relaxed though, which is good for us though!

Great stuff, what's the crowd like?

60/0 after 10 Overs...If this run rate continues, we are on for 300 runs

Wouldn't be enough on this ground against India. The fact the spinners are in this early shows that Dhoni is worried about how Ireland have started.

Almost a full house ..... Predominantly Indian support .....

    Strangely very silent though!!

Would 350 need to be a number to hit to have any chance of a win?

really good start from the opening batsmen, the commentators saying this is the best batting start against India at this WC. Hope this continues.

350 would be a great number. Would put pressure on India and Ireland can capitalise on that.

350 would be fantastic. Might need it though.

    bugger :(

    89/1. Stirling gone

Commentators saying India's highest ever WC chase is 275 but would need higher on this pitch imo

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,833 ✭✭✭Mysterypunter

Sad end for Stirling. Need to maintain the runrate for a few more overs. Pitch looks good though.

    Joyce gone for 2

  • Registered Users Posts: 742 ✭✭✭ItsChecoTime

Ahh crap Joyce gone now too...

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,093 ✭✭✭Guffy

was worried this would happen when we lost one. Hopefully they can steady the ship now and get another good partnership going.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,159 ✭✭✭mrkiscool2

Spinners causing Ireland real trouble here. They need to get their act together now and not fall apart.
