Don Cossack was poor, thought Cooper would have made more use of him but made one or 2 bad mistakes.

Had a bit of a surge at the end, if he hadn't screwed up that fence he'd have possibly got the win I think.

Anyway that result means my Yankee is now worth basically feck all. One winner, one loser and a place.

    Uxixandre in the Ryanair,16/1....e/w

Sick as a pig, he did lots of my multiples by not running in the Champion Chase and then skuttles my accumulators that included Don Cossack for this race.

Took the 18s yesterday, got me €50 more than my stakes on my multiples so not too bad but could have been spectacular.

    Ugh.

Zarkandar, second horse of mine today to make a bad mistake.

    Great shout.

Had Don Cossack, bad jump with about 5 to go cost him.

Cossack landed on the second last, he would have been bang there bar that alone.

Same here, Zarkandars mistake made all the difference there, I was amazed he was so close after it.

Gutted, was my bet of the festival.

Everything in its favour - trip, ground, course form and well handicapped yet just doesnt perform for me :(

I backed silviniaco conti in the last 2 gold cups so I,m sticking with him today.this is the last chance saloon for him and 9/2 looks fair as I think he looks better this year thn any other year.

Martello tower at 10/1 in the albert Bartlett simply because I cant make head nor tail of the form in the race and I got a bit of a whisper for it a couple of weeks ago.

sticking with beltor in the triumph, powers doing money back if your horse finishes 2nd or 3rd and I cant see him out of the first 3,also Adonis winners have a decent record in this race.cleaned up on zarkander a few years ago.

For what its worth I got a shout for Windemere from a rock solid source, he wouldnt want it much softer.

Source gave me 5 tips, the last 4 are Silver Concorde, Spring Heeled and LW last year and Windsor Park Tuesday.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

Couldnt have LW on soft ground.

HDO is a good each way bet now at 40s
