Does it have Fetac accreditation? If it doesn't I would avoid it because there are plenty of Fetac accreditated animal care/vet assistant courses out there already.

ICI courses and qualifications are not NFQ or FETAC courses. ICI courses are independent of the NFQ system. ICI training courses follow a curriculum which has been developed by the Institute based on consultations with employers and  are accredited for delivery to students within the Ireland and the rest of the world by the International Accreditation and Recognition Council (IARC).

Personally I'd avoid it if you are hoping to find employment out of it or use it as a stepping stone to a veterinary nursing course. It's hard enough to get work as a vet assistant even with one of the recognised courses so it might be even harder with one that most employers won't have heard of. Is there a work placement involved?

The IARC isn't recognised for proper accreditation. Don't waste your money.
