Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

They should put Piers Morgan in his place for a couple of episodes to troll the shoite out of him.

The format has been getting quite stale tbf. I think Clarkson knows it and has been doing whatever he can to keep the show's name in the headlines - even if it's for the wrong reasons. This could be a PR stunt or maybe he has finally done something that has been construde as a step too far by the BBC.

For what it's worth I think May is the best presenter of the three. He's done some excellent stuff away from Top Gear.

Too right! May is the class act of the three. A petition should be set up to get rid of Hammond. He has gone very unlikable in the last couple of years and always looks like he's acting or playing up to the camera.

Maybe now Top Gear can become a show about cars again.

Who would want to watch that?

You are aware that he's a television presenter?

I've a wicked soft spot for her but that squealing can get me sometimes!
I love the two shows though. Top for laughs and reasonable factual entertainment. 5th for facts and really interesting things. As a slight car nut, I can greatly appreciate both.

Top gears Bolivia special left me in awe, despite what that plank Hammond did to his Land Cruiser.
But 5th gears experiments -in particular, the toolbox in the back of the car- had the same effect.

While May would be my favourite of the three (due at least in part to the the immortal line "Good quality indicator-tick in Audis!") I like the Hamster too.

Oh so he's "acting" like a dope and an arrogant dick of a tv presenter, thanks for clearing that up.

The only genuinely racialist moment was the "slope on the bridge" moment.

It really sickens me to see a fellow member of the proletariat being victimised and bullied by management. Is there anything we can do?

I don't think Top Gear will last without Clarkson all will be forgiven.

Clarkson owns TopGear. Actually owns it.

Unlikely. He owns the company that makes the show. The BBC dont own it.

    They brought it off him.

Some even say he used the "W"word

It's what is expected of him and he has made a lot of money doing it, so why would he change? It's the same with George Hook and Eamon Dunphy, they are employed to be professional trolls.

I actually don't get this about people if you don't like the man simply just don't watch him on tv its not like he is on 24/7 I for one absolutely love top gear as it is now and have watched it for past ten years the English media latch onto everything Clarkson says to find an issue with it. The whole n-word in the nursery rhyme was a joke id love to here one person claim to say they never used that as a kid. Or the slope on the bridge I donno maybe he did say it on purpose but if we look enough at every show on television I'm sure we could link loads of stuff to racism or what's not. People have nothing better to do they will have another agenda when he is gone off air.

Actually he doesn't as I posted earlier. Even since 2007 he only held 30% stake, the BBC had the controlling +50% share.

Top Gear will bomb without Clarkson. It's frachised in over 70 countries and worth close to £150 million to the BBC every year. They will apologise to him for their uppity snobbish behaviour and beg him to come back again (with a pay rise most likely)

Stuart Lee is to comedy what a funeral is to having a good time.

Sounds like another or stunt to me. The ratings must be bad for the current series.

I would love to hate that show. It's laddish, mildly racist, british xenophobia have no place in the modern world.

    Specials are great though.

I saw him live once. We all laughed out of fear that other people might think we are not getting the "joke". Also Stewart's scary. With his big angry Somerset farmers face.

I don't claim to be a comedian so if you think that what I wrote was material then perhaps your sense of humour is ****e. This would explain why you would rate Stuart Lee. Wishing blindness on people is so edgy and funny.

Jian Ghomeshi was, like Clarkson in the UK, a prominent media figure, albeit on radio, rather than TV. Like Clarkson, Ghomeshi worked for a state-run broadcaster (albeit, in the latter's case, the CBC). Ghomeshi was given the boot a couple of days after showing a video, to senior staff at Canada's equivalent to the BBC, of what he thought was a consensual sexual relationship. Since then, Ghomeshi has been slapped with several rape charges and one count of choking. It remains to be seen if he will receive a prison term. Clarkson isn't under criminal investigation for his conduct, although the numerous gaffes have his media career (at least with the BBC) up in the air.

Will the consequences of Clarkson's conduct follow that of Brian Williams? If Clarkson has another thing going for him, it appears to be he hasn't been caught lying about covering something. At least BBC isn't a right-wing gabfest in Fox News.

Doesn't take a genius, he explains it if you've bothered to watch it. Try it, you might learn something.
