Did anyone see that some guy addressed the bad voices on the Megadrive version of Street Fighter 2 Special Championship Edition. We all know the beta version of Street Fighter on the Megadrive had really clear voices but when the final version was released it was very scratchy in the voice department even though the Music was excellent. This guy basically says:

The original game suffers from terrible distorted voices because of the dumb Z80 PCM driver. I basically rewrote it to take care of BUS contention with DMA and so fix the horrible voices. Even with the bad video quality you can notice how much the voices are improved after the modification. It definitely shows the Sega Megadrive is more than able to deliver good voices quality (even with 2 PCM channels mixing) and that Capcom really ****ed up the Megadrive port of the game :-/

Very interesting, I tried it out and it really works well.
