Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've an 05 diesel with 240,000 kms up. Recently noticed a noise humming / rumbling from the rear. Quieter when car slows. Noise has increased over past week. I've got the whole hub bearing today for €90. Have I diagnosed it correctly. Going to do at weekend hence reason I got bearing today. Has any one else had to change theirs on similar vintage accords?

I presume once car if lifted that their may be a bit of play on the wheel?
    Thanks

There may not be any noticable play in the bearing. When you have it off the ground give it a good spin with your hand and you should hear the rumble, roughness.

Check both sides before you decide which side. It can be decieving when listening from inside the car.

Probably better to check it before buying the bearing? It could be something else.

If the noise get louder when turning into a right hand bend its the left bearing that's worn or vice versa.

Good stuff it makes a huge difference. You don't realise how much noise it was making until it's changed.
