Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Club Spins - how do yours work

Just wondering what works best for arranging club spins.
Do ye just show up and head off?
    How many have pre-decided routes?
Routes notified beforehand by social media?
Max number in a spin? - do you split it if too many?
    Defined leader or by consensus?
Strategy for upping distance / amount of climbing as year progresses, or just go with how you feel / what is done every week?
I have had a scout of a good few club websites, and see that some seem more organised than others, but I reckon not all of what happens may show up on the websites.

What sort of club spins? Racing, touring, intermediates, juniors, newbies - it would differ according to the category.

Thinking of intermediate club spins. No real racers involved, just 'sportive cyclists' but plenty are fairly experienced.
Just wondering whether it would be worth the effort to put more shape on the spins. Also I reckon if it was better organised, and maybe more defined aims for each spin it would attract more cyclists. Loads of cyclists in the area doing their own thing, would more shape entice more to join the spins?
