We really can't afford to lose another man before the powerplay

The runs are fine, it's just wickets we need to hold on to.

Just need to get some more singles in the next few overs to take away some of the pressure. We would be in a very precarious position if we were to lose another wicket now.

Agreed, lets get these two up to the powerplay and worry about runs then

With the bowling they have the barest minimum Ireland need is 280 I reckon.....

That's the best I have seen Porterfield bat .....needs to bat out the 50 overs and others bat around him

Batting out the 50 a big ask but getting a 100 would be great for the team mentally, too many of the guys have been caught out at 90 or so

280 would be a very good score on this ground. Puts a suspect Pakistan batting line-up under pressure

    280 is a potential win.

Haris has a habit of taking wickets through bowling rubbish, its a good knack to have.

I actually don't think he is a bad bowler btw.

    Very promising player really.

Balbirnie has looked great in this tournament at time but you can see he's very green.

Ireland need to get to 40 overs 4 down..... Danger of being bowled out otherwise

Porterfield is the key to what Ireland do in the next 20 overs......

  • Registered Users Posts: 243 ✭✭jonnygiles

Porterfield is starting to slash it a bit....

Get to 190-200/4 in 40 and then have a go......

Which means risk free 5 runs per over next 10 overs ......
