Hi im looking for a website where u can download FREE french books in general. As im not an expert in french I like to read children novels or novels in general that are writtten from the perspective of a child so the vocab in the book isnt too complex.
Anyone any good websites?
or boooks?

These books are in copyright. Free versions are probably not available legally.

You can try Ebooks libres et gratuits. They offer rights free books in several formats. I'm not sure how right they are about the rights free thing. They explain that it depends on the copyright laws of the country you live in (to get access to the files).

Anyway, as an example, I found Le Petit Prince which is one of the more classic "children" French read you can find.

You could search for Les Contes de Perrault and for Le Petit Nicolas from Sempe-Goscinny. Sometimes, just googling the title of the book is enough to give you a link to its PDF in the first couple of links (that's the case for the latter one).

Livres pour tous semble avoir une bonne selection, mais certains liens sont sans doute inactifs.
Attention, les Livres pour enfants un peu anciens utiliseront certainement un vocabulaire un peu difficile, tu aurais presque interet a viser des romans contemporains de poche. Par exemple Marc Levy, romans tres accessibles, et vocab tres utile. Essaye une recherche sur google.fr Marc Levy livres en ligne gratuits. A mon avis, ce sera plus facile que la Comtesse de Segur par exemple.

Just discovered this site which should be really interesting for anyone keen to read in French. The short stories only take a few minutes to read and, if you don't like one, you can just skip to the next. Less daunting than starting a book that you may end up disliking.
