Some mates and myself are looking at chartering a boat in howth for a half day or so and doing a bit of angling from it.

Aim here is have a bit of fun and also maybe catch something that is worth cooking (we all cook a lot of fish).

Are there times when we should go? Is there anything that we should be aware of when talking to some boat owners?
