Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

People tend to get confused about Spurs for reasons beyond my comprehension. They are a small weak club with a history of losing the big game. They were always going to roll over and be tickled today and confirm yet another season of irrelevance.

    Nice try, Mr. Jinx.

Spurs are merely lulling United into a false sense of security. Like a hypothetical boxing match between Wayne Rooney and Phil Bardsley, there is only one winner. Spurs are winding up for the KO punch that leaves United's limp body strewn across the kitchen fl-.....Carrick scores as I was typing. Never mind.

    Ahhhhh spurs.

    Total wasters

Carrick with a header and Fellaini with his feet, the world is ending

I wonder are the few who said Welbeck was 'classless' and a disgrace for celebrating after scoring against united saying the same about Carrick here? I doubt it somehow

Carrick not at White Hart Lane.

Pity about that but pull back could have been better.

Acres of room down the left side though

    ridiculous comparison

Indeed. Carrick actually wanted to leave Spurs.

If Young had any composure he'd be a decent player. Another rubbish cross.

    Young tearing Walker apart

    It doesnt matter.

Welbeck scored a goal and celebrated. What do you want him to do, stand still and apologise like some silly players do against their ex teams

Utd didnt want him, Arsenal did. Score against the old team, yes, take that!

Spurs are a pack of wasters!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,304 ✭✭✭madcabbage

Keep the work rate up, it's giving them joy so far.

Anyway this isn't going to descend into people trying to take potshots at United?

Carrick only spent a few years with spurs he has spent longer at united then he did at spurs and was trained at west ham but either way Danny had every right to celebrate against united I don't blame him for it he got turfed out he had a point to prove.

I missed the start. What were the two Spurs players sent off for? At least I presume they are playing with only 9?

Our two best performances of the season have come in first halves against Spurs

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,292 ✭✭✭Adamocovic

Rooney seems to be enjoying himself! Was gas him and Clattenburg there! He must of thought Clattenburg had blown for a peno not offside!

Where has this performance been all season??

Mata, Herrera and Fellaini with Rooney up front, heck I'd say Falcao and RVP could be thriving in this system. Di Maria in for Young and Rafael in for Valencia here and LVG would really be onto something

Poor excuse for a football fan looking for reactions while a game is on. Have a bit of respect and class.

Fair play to united, this could have been a tricky tie.

Liverpool Swansea is exciting for the neutrals now

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,292 ✭✭✭Adamocovic

Wait...were playing good enough to force a tactical change out of the opposition in the first half?! My god...

Mata out with a point to prove today, still been knocked off the ball a few times but putting in a good few tackles, nice to see.
