Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Missing logbook situation

Bit of a situation here. My sister moved over to the US a couple of moths ago and now I've been asked to sell her car which she left behind. She doesn't remember what she did with the logbook and I can't find it. What do I have to do in this situation in order to sell the car?

It's in her name or her husbands name - they can't remember which and they're both living abroad now.

Can anyone advise on what I need to do in order to be able to sell the car?

Won't they need to know who is the registered owner to apply for a VLC with an RF134 though ?
According to the OP it could be either the sister or her husband.

Fill RF134 with sister's name. If its rejected sister's husband is the owner.

Chance ringing Driver and Vehicle Licensing Computer Services Division, Shannon Town Centre, Co. Clare. (Phone: +353 (0)61 365 000 or **Lo-Call 1890-411412) & see if they can help you.

The worst that can happen is that they'll tell you they can't.

I was in a similar situation last week and I was advised to go into my local garda station and ask nicely if they could look it up for me. Having a list of 2 possible answers should help.

The original logbook turned up in my case though so I can't confirm if this would work or not.
