Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Price for injector test

    hi all looking to get a price of having diesel injectors tested. Car is a 05 megane 1.5dci. I have done a leak test myself and all seem ok but I still think its a injector issue. Looking for someone around the westmeath area.

    Hi arthur im was getting a injection fault light on the dash. Had it scanned nd it showed up a egr valve and glow plug so i replaced all 4 glow plugs and replaced the egr valve. Now the car will not start at all the only way it start is if i spray cold start into the breather pipe

    Was it a professional scanner,cheap ones like I have only give generic codes a rough idea where to start.
    Will it run ok after it has been started?
    It could be a loose connection to the glow plugs

    Yes arthur it was a proper garage scanner....it starts no problem with cold start spray and drives but throws up the injection fault at a certain rev range but goes out again

    Could be the high pressure pump not meeting the requests made by the ecu, will be slow to start if that is dying also. If you can get it back on diagnostics watch how long it takes to get to 300bar in the rail when cranking, should be near instant and the injectors wont fire below this (its around 300 bar for that engine)
