    really?
does the way you crawled to the finish line against ten men not endorse his point?

Liverpool did not have a single chance after Sturridge scored. We could not have been more comfortable in the second half.

Still mathematically possible for Utd to win the league. *Don't laugh*

Sure, how can you blame us when morale is this high?

I always get amused by rival football fans calling each other hypocrites, etc. You're all as bad as each other. Have you not realised that by now?

2 players stamping playing for the same team in the same match? I would question that

Pele was on the pitch longer than Gerrard.

    Good game much enjoyed.

Was exciting but full of mistakes from both sides.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,105 ✭✭✭mada999

    Is it?
Or if he honestly did not know is it not a better decision? to allow retrospective video review, sending him off now wouldnt have made a difference to the game, he know knows that the right outcome will happen, i.e. they will look at the video and see what it warrants.
I'd prefer that then him guessing one way or the other.

Sure Rooney got away with something similar..he can say he was pushed but he swung the leg after that...

    Carragher struggling here.

Gerrard deserves to be laid into but he won't do it.

It's mostly utd fans talking about the ref. Utd deserved their victory just about. Really poor quality game though.

Disagree. United were excellent. As good an away performance as you can see. Tactically spot on too.

Not a great game but will take the 3 points 😄😄😄😄

Stop trying to justify what he did

I wouldn't agree. The man has won every club trophy except the league. A lot of players wouid give anything for half his career.

Carragher is turing into a politician before our very eyes.

Best team won. Controlled first 30 where we often lose the match at Anfield. Limited Liverpool to a couple of half-chances all game apart from Lallana's and the goal.

Gerrard's was a red. Absolute madness. Jones was a bad tackle but yellow fair. I would actually like to see reds for that but they are always given yellow.

Skrtel will be looked at retroactively if the ref doesn't have it in his report. Will get a ban if so. Rooney's was a nothing incident and anybody saying otherwise is not looking at it objectively.

Mata MOTM for Utd, Henderson the Liverpool MOTM. He has become some player in fairness. Touch of class to match his workrate.

I called the Fellaini mismatch early on and he did brilliantly in the first half.

Yeah it is just the flip side of his genius, a small price to pay for what his emotion can give you!

Gerrard needs to be slaughtered by the media the same way Costa was.

    More British player bias.

This should really be a handy 3 home points for Liverpool, however, given it's Liverpool v Man Utd there is the potential that Utd might make a match of it, there might be a wrong ref decision or perhaps a blunder to gift Utd a goal, all that considered you'd still be thinking at best Utd might get a point.

    The reasons for the above;
    - Liverpool have achieved a ppg since their 3 PL defeats on the trot that Utd can only dream about
    - Liverpool have beaten good teams, struggling teams and middling teams in that great run
    - Liverpool have done so without Sturridge for the most part and with a somewhat misfiring Sturridge of late, Sturridge isn't crucial to us as we have show but he will click soon, today would be some day for it.
    - Liverpool have defensive solidity, a keeper in great form and a functioning midfield and attack that Man city couldn't equal of late
    - Utd are coming along in a new found confidence after putting a dismal Spurs away at Old Trafford, Spurs fire when Kane fires, no Kane firing that day so Utd shouldn't take too much from that victory imo.
    - The pressure on Utd is getting appreciative now, the season is almost over and despite their points haul they've rarely looked better than they did last season
    - LVG seems rather dim & clueless.

    :)

An absolute TSUNAMI of delusion :D

Lots of nonsense from Liverpool fans but that's to be expected

Bar a number of shaky moments most caused by themselves United were miles the better team even before Gerrard got sent off

  • Stampy g

Thank you for making this day even sweater

Liverpool players so dirty in the end

We were pure bliss for the goals we scored, thouroughly deserved win but not sure why we made things harder for ourselves

Rooney dropping deep actually helped us in the end but I'm disappointed with his overall performance

As for mata, absolute class from him

Carrick in midfield makes such a difference

And the big fella, hopefully he knocks some of those smug smiles off all the liverpool fans who doubt him

Pool fans shooting there loads prematurely and got slapped...come on united!!!!!

Its football you swing a leg to challenge for a ball even if he swing a leg to trip him its still not violent conduct it was low trip. Deal with it.

To stamp a gk collecting the ball, I hope the FA bans him.

Hope they ban Rooney also for swinging a leg at a keeper

Carragher needs to ask himself what he would be saying had Balotelli done the same thing.

Sure Gerrard has done so much for Liverpool and he is allowed lots of leeway but there's massive arselicking and there's utterly berating somebody. Somewhere betwixt the two the real reaction meets.

Fair play to Gerrard's facing up to the cameras.

Midfielder for a striker when we're under pressure?

Herrera looked at risk of being sent off. Rooney was the choice to drop into his position. Needed to bring on a striker to replace Rooney. It's not that odd really.
