Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If that was Balotelli playing up front for Liverpool he would have been slaughtered.

    Sturridge has been terrible.

    Yeah, been poor alright.

    Nice assist though

    Nah, Mario has skillz

  • Thankfully, they don't have Bony up front now.

I think it would have been a different story tonight if they had.

Shelvey must be pissed, amount of great forward passes he's played with no end result

Nathan Dyer doesn't seem to have the strength whenever he gets on the ball, not doing himself much favours when it comes to winning his place back.

Balotelli has worked much harder than Sturridge recently but still gets criticised far more for not working. It's baffling really.

Lot of criticism of Sturridge here tonight though.

Sterling goes down so easily at times. Really annoying when players do that.

Where'd they pluck 4 mins from?

Yes, but not a single comment by the commentators and won't be by Rodgers either, both of whom have been vocal about Balotelli.

Sigurdsson had a bit of a mare tonight. If he'd have been at the races I think Swansea would have had at least one. Some change in the dynamic after half time!

Should be getting yellows for diving then?

The ref has just pulled those 4 minutes out of his own arsehole like some sort of space time wormhole of mystery.

There's no way Liverpool miss out on the top 4 at this stage. They are absolutely rolling, they are a much better side, and a hell of a lot better set up this season than last season. Much more likely to continue to challenge for the top 4 with this side than last years side, regardless of how close they got to the league.

Fair play to Rodgers this season, it has been a remarkable turnaround! Fancy them to get at least 4 points from United at home and Arsenal away.

    MASSIVE!!

  • Fair result in the end. Swansea should have took there chances

Liverpool improved in the second half

Poxy goal in the end but think the win is fair overall

Wilfred Bony is clearly a big loss to Swansea

Fortunate goal for Liverpool but based on their second half performance definitely deserved it. Swansea will be kicking themselves for not scoring in first half but when you dont take your chances only yourself to blame.

Interesting game ahead now with Pool and United, going to be close to call.

Anyone think it could be City that drop out of the Top 4?

True but I wouldn't mind what the media says, they have their narratives to feed, like Sakho making mistakes even when he doesn't.

Rodgers, knows the players better and should know how to manage them, sure isn't he a great man manager.
I honestly hope Mario is giving a second season and that Rodgers gives him more play time.

There's a professional calm, collected and composed 1-0 victory, and then there's the way Liverpool do it. Who's arsed though. Wins a win.

    Phew!! :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,292 ✭✭✭Adamocovic

I like Gerrard but he was on the pitch 4 minutes and it was a fortunate goal. Before he had come on Liverpool had already been playing better since half time. The commentators I'm listening to keep saying Gerrard was the reason they scored the goal, I'm not too sure about that!

Yes he offered a steady dominant figure in-between the defence and midfield but Pool were already looking like scoring.

It would keep everyone happy :pac:
