Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Coutinho only knows one strike

It's certainly better than knowing none like last season!

    So many chances.

    Must. Not. Jinx....

The way Coutinho shoots and scores reminds me of what was the only guaranteed way of scoring in Fifa 2001 (I think). Coming in from the left on the edge of the box.

Can must have been on the horse tranquilizers before the game.

I'm afraid of posting this before the game is over... But its amazing how less suspect and frail we are defensively nowadays.

It's a sad state of affairs when Shelvey has been the best midfielder on the pitch.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,155 ✭✭✭Sideshow Mark

Shelvey always seems to play better against us, than he ever did when he played for us.

Really think we'll need another to win this, hope I'm wrong.

    Joe Allen everybody.

They seem to be trying their damndest to give away goals though, but the opposition don't want to take the chances it seems at times.

Joe Allen has been just as effective...

played good against UTD a little while ago as well... would rather have kept him than paid big bucks for Allen imo...he didnt want to sit on the bench and was right to leave in the end..

Sturridge isn't trying a lick it seems.

    not for me...

Blow it up ref. Swansea haven't come close this half really, but I've a horrible feeling they'll score yet.

Pissed me off against Besiktas, a little against Blackburn, and a fair bit again tonight.

He needs to work harder for a start.

    Goal gets better every time.

If there is a difference its that Allen controls in tight areas whereas Shelvey is more obviously spectacular in space (for good or bad).

  • Swansea lacking the cutting edge required to get back into this

Thankfully, they don't have Bony up front now.

I think it would have been a different story tonight if they had.

If that was Balotelli playing up front for Liverpool he would have been slaughtered.

    Sturridge has been terrible.

Balotelli has worked much harder than Sturridge recently but still gets criticised far more for not working. It's baffling really.

Liverpool playing good tempo football, hopefully they get it out of their system before the United match ;)
