Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hardly that controversial of a statement

They were a great side, perhaps the greatest, but they were nowhere near unbeatable.

Only 2 Champions league titles in that period remember, there were plenty of teams who figured out how to beat them and did so.

In CL era no team has won more CLs with the same team than Barca.

    Yes, only 2.

If somebody wants to portray that side as unbeatable, as so unbeatable that even a team made up of all the greatest players in the world couldn't even have 40% possession against them, then you must be talking a side that mere mortals couldn't even get near.

But you aren't, other teams beat them all the time.

Didn't the Juve team of mid to late 90's play a version of 3-4-3? They were a great team!

Also, the best world XI posted by the OP, anyone who has Kroos ahead of Schweinteiger is 100% wrong!

No team will ever be ''unbeatable'' but to say ''only 2'' CL in 4 years is insane. There's a reason they won the most tropheys ever in a year. 9 times out of 10 teams wouldn't beat them. I'd have fancied that team over any world XI at the time. A lot of people would also, but every team will lose. Nobody has a 100% win record. It's impossible.
