I have a pair of sketchers currently, I got the for Xmas. However since I got them my arches on my feet hurt when I exercise.

I'm assuming that I may need runner with higher arches?

    How will I know?

Don't assume. Get fitted in a proper running shop. Elverys is not a pepper running shop. Where are you based?

    No this is not true.

However, you most likely do need shoes with more structure (but not necessarily a stability or guidance shoe), as in between the heel and middle of the shoe to resist torsional strain.

Another option is to reduce the volume of your running and increase foot strength exercises until your feet can manage properly.

My favourite option is hop on the train for a day out in Oranmore!! (or pay a visit to your local run specialist shop.
