Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Monaco have bottled this tonight no matter how it ends up. Said we're up 3-1 we won't even try to play. Just hang onto it.

What did you expect from them? They have limited experience of this scenario throughout their side...

Not sure how anyone can criticise Arsenal, they are so positive and pummelling Monaco.

    Damage done 1st leg

We ran outta gas for the last 5 mins ...pity we tried to hard...Pride back but hopefully we'll learn from this and win our group next year.

That third goal at the Emirates must really sting now.

A shame, Arsenal are good enough to have ruffled a few feathers, Monaco are going to get trounced in the next round no matter who they face. Arsenal had their chance though and didn't take it.

I'd rather see Arsenal going through.

    I love Carrasco!

    Good effort.

Its not this game that did them, its conceding stupidly at the end of the last one.

The amount of times Oezil has given the ball away.
He was our man of the match...I'd trade in your TV :pac:

Superb effort on the night but disgraceful we've gone out to Monaco if I'm being honest.

    U2 at the end. :pac:

    And yeah!!

I'm sure Arsenal fans are happy on some level that this allows them to concentrate on getting that top four finish.

Same old story really, couldn't perform when it actually mattered.

Great effort. Well done to monaco, we simply left ourselves with too much to do

Good to see Bono out supporting his local club.

I'm not sure if it's comforting to go out like that. We've beaten ourselves to be honest with how we played in the first leg.

Best of luck to Monaco, but I can't see them going much further because a more ruthless team won't let them away with it.

Would you have said that after the first leg??

When you lose in Europe you have to look at the team that beat you and how they rate relative to the rest of the draw...this is a bad exit.

Commendable effort from Arsenal tonight. 3rd goal at the Emirates killed us though.

At least we played better than the 1st leg. Fair play to Monaco and good luck in the next round.

Once again the inability to put in a telling cross has cost us.

Arsenal go out after winning 0-2, the most Arsenal thing Arsenal have ever Arsenal'd.

Missed chances in both games cost them
That late goal at Emirate so vital

Not a good result for top 4 opponents imo

Another European adventure over. 2nd and FA Cup now

    Justice.

Dunno what it is with teams taking their foot off the pedal in the second leg against Arsenal but it gives ITV a great narrative.

    Right team went through.

I said in the first leg that the only thing that would be more Arsenal than the Emirates game would be to still go through and then go out to Basel or Porto - so near.

    Monaco are poison.

Fair play to them for getting through but I was expecting their manager to pull off a mask and reveal Mourinhio! Just so negative

How come TV3 don't go to the extra time in the other match

Because they think we give a **** what Brian Kerr and Mark Lawrenson have to say.

Eh no somehow I don't think we are happy after getting knocked out, it's never good to get knocked out of Europe. You should know this after it happened to you twice this season.

Hardly poison to be fair. There a decent team and any side set up like they were tonight are very hard to break down. They defended well in fairness to them.

They only have live rights to their one selected game. Setanta Irl have second game rights.

Agree with what the studio said before the game Ramsey had to start

Weird song that for Atletico Madrid

I'd have put him in ahead of Ozil. Just because they needed three goals Ramsey is a bigger goal threat. His running beyond midfield would of caused Monaco more problems I think

    /sigh/

And who is going to create the chances without Ozil? Our second goal only came after a magnificent pass from Ozil to Monreal.

Cazorla is creating chances all year Sanchez can create.

    Ok, poison is too harsh.

They were horrible to watch tonight but I guess they did enough, just.

Their 1st leg was their trump card

Yeah we were absolutely idiotic in the first leg and monaco did really well.

A real shame that we threw away what was a very decent draw. We played well this evening but honestly we're not at the level that we aspire to be.

Arsenal are at a better level than Monaco imo and should have won tonight.

However the top 16ish sort of level? Probably about right atm
