    Hi all,

I have been recommended to get a microdermabrasion facial every 8 weeks.

I have very combination skin, a few dry patches but the blackheads are killing me and this has been recommended to me.

Anyone got any advice on where is good? Or literally...... where to start looking??

    Thanks everyone :)

Where are you based. I know a place offering microdermabrasion fairly cheaply. Its a great treatment by the way if you can get it at an affordable price!

Hi Kelly06.... I work in the city centre and drive so I can go anywhere. What is the name of the place you recommend?

Be careful with micro dermabrasion!!!! It can sometimes be way too harsh for people's skintypes

Check out Renew Clinic, fully staffed by nurses who know what they are doing.

I agree, I swear that it made my rosacea far worse. Ditto on any sort of chemical peel.

Ya. Start oil cleansing and find a natural but good facialist!!! who doesn't try and sell you loads of crap!

What oil do you use? I bought organic hemp oil to try but it feels weird!

The place where I get micro done the lady is a registered nurse who has years of experience working for a private practice. I wouldn't let a beautician do an advanced treatment like micro or IPL on my skin. I'm not sure an abrasive treatment like micro is suitable for people with with rosacea.i get great benefits from it anyways. I guess everyone's skin is different !

Have a look into salicylic acid peels. I get mine from bravura London. That combined with oil cleansing should get rid of them. Are you sure it is blackheads and not sebaceous filaments? Have a Google and research sebaceous filaments, because if it is them you could be doing more harm than good.
