Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

More to do with the name and rep of Messi there than the ability of the lad. Should have been stopped before passing it. Terrible defending.

Just enjoy him, he is giving another master class tonight.

    Messi on fire
    He's toying with them
    Poor City
    Toure is not very commited
    Walking Jogging
    Not getting back

I'd embarrass him and take him off
    Not good enough
    He's getting paid to work!

Rubbish. It was a perfectly executed sliding tackle. It wasn't dangerous at all.

Obviously they don't explicitly say you can clear a player out, but they don't say you can't either! And he didn't clear him out. He won the ball and the player fell to the ground. It's a physical game for Christ sake. In your world, every time a player makes a tackle (no matter what kind) all the player who is tackled would have to do is pretend to be cleared out and fall to the ground screaming and win the free every time. Madness.

Arsenal are light years away from this....."Closest" is really a relative term here.

It's not rubbish. Willing it to be different, doesn't make it so. Tackling from behind is illegal. That's the rule and everyone knows it.

I enjoy good football, I love it in fact. But allowing a player to do what he likes and standing off him (2 of them in fact) and letting him pick a pass which is what happened in the lead up to the goal is neither masterful nor enjoyable to watch imo.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,254 ✭✭✭shano_88

Sanchez has moved on to greener pastures George!

It was a tackle from behind, simple as. Referee's ping those tackles 9 times out of 10
