    Hi,

As per title, I have some Zensor 3's in my hifi setup. They're in quite a large room and I feel they're not delivering on bass. I see Dali offer a subwoofer (E9F) for £419 but am I right in thinking that's the wrong way to go add additional bass? I suppose for that money with trade-in money from the Zensor 3's I could upgrade to some new floorstanders (Q Acoustic 3050/ Zensor 7 and so on) that would offer more bass?

    Any opinions/ help appreciated ;)

    Meridiangroup,

sorry to answer a query with questions, but what sources and amp are you using? Are your speakers placed close to the wall or in 'free-air'?

If you give us some more info we can give a more informed opinion ( the 3050's sound great BTW :) )

    Thanks for the reply.

I've a Project Debut Carbon debut going through a Sansui amp, seen here... http://www.whathifi.com/sansui/sap201v/review

The Zensors are mounted on stands about 9" from wall. The room itself is long and narrow, at a guess 10 feet wide x 30 feet long...

    Cheers

Thanks for that - yep I know that Sansui but to be honest I haven't had the opportunity to audition it as its not a brand that we stock anymore (I do have an original mint Sansui AU101 http://www.classicaudio.com/value/san/AU101.html at home though)..

Without specific knowledge then of your Amp - I would look at the Q Acoustics 2050i https://www.richersounds.ie/p-12716-2050i-gr.aspx?swapstore=1 which are £413 / €549.99 ( the euro prices include shipping) - the 2050 really do sound great and are really able to handle most loads and are quite efficient so your Amp should be well able to drive them - if you wanted a step up the have a look at the spanking new Q Acoustics 3050's which start at £499.95 / €649.99 ( for the graphite or walnut finishes) - here's a link to the beautiful leather finish:
    https://www.richersounds.ie/p-201186-3050-leather.aspx

An alternative, if you wanted serious Bass would be the Monitor Audio MR6 - https://www.richersounds.ie/p-200808-mr6-black.aspx at just £450 / €549.99 these really are exceptional value and really do produce serious bass ( they are quite a large speaker!) also the euro price on the MR6 is brilliant - they should be over €650 given the current exchange rate so at under €550 including shipping they are super value,

Thanks again and keep us posted if any of thee are of interest or of course if we can assist in any way,
