Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Use the BET365 offer!

Don't have an account and too hungover to set one up, will just walk round the shop later and place them.

If you set up an account, for that €150 you'll get to pick 5 horses for €25 e/w + you'll get €25 in change, + 100% first deposit bonus, but each to their own!

  • Registered Users Posts: 584 ✭✭✭Skintwin

The Grand National causes so many falls etc. that I've gone for quite a few small e/w's
    Cause of Causes
    Balthazar King
    Many Clouds
    Soll
    Night in Milan
    Rocky Creek

Seems a bit mad, but they are paying 5 places....

You have to play through that first deposit bonus something like 3 times before you'll be able to withdraw

Just calculated what top 5 would give me the biggest return:

    1. First Lieutenant
    2. Balthazar/Alvarado/Al Co
    5. Spring Heeled

Although a win from any of the first 4 there would make me very happy, just wish I had more on First Lieutenant when I got him at 34/1! .. 17/2 just to place in the top 5

    All each way

Baltazar King (biggest wager) hope he's not too fresh

cause of causes - if Carbery can stay out of trouble..

Alvarado - backed him last year ew, small bet

    Al Co

Rockey Creek, more patience, had him last year

Heart says Baltazar King, but history is against him

I never thought I would ever say this but I fancy First Lieutenant 2moro. My head says he wont stay but I said that even more so about Rule the World and he stayed the Irish National last week.

Nina Carbery is an outstanding jockey, so anything is possible. Not sure about staying, but the horse is a multiple grade 1 star

€10 on Rocky Creek to win
€10 on Al Co to place (5 places)
€1 combination tricast of Rocky Creek, Balthazar King and Oscar Time
€5 @18/1 on Soll, Alvardo, Balthazar King, Al Co, Rocky Creek, Cause of Causes, Mon Perrain and Monbeg Dude to complete the course

    Buzzing for this already.

E/W on F.Lieutenant, Owega Star, Cause of Causes and Shutthefeontdoor for emotional reasons.

My two horses seem to be about as popular as a hole in the head. Rubi Light at a stonking 100/1 and Spring Heeled at 33/1.

I had a dream 3 weeks ago that 'Rainbow Hunter' won the Grand National. I'm not that big into racing and had no idea consciously there was a horse running with that name. In my dream the horse was no.7.

So, long story short, Rainbow Hunter e/w & Shutthefrontdoor!

As good a reason as any I suppose :)

Disagree. With the value around if backing 4 horses each way in the national instead do 8 to win to increase you chances of winning. Each to there own
