We have a 100 year old terraced house and the windows are single pane and have the ability to suck the hot air out of a room in seconds.

We have three sash windows upstairs, one downstairs and then a triple fronted bay window (middle pane opens up like a door) at the front of the house.

The frames seem in fairly decent condition. No problems with opening or raising up and down.

I have heard that you can use existing frames and slot in double glazing or some advanced glass to make them better. No idea of cost though.

    Anyone able to help out?

    cheers
