Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Solar eclipse - animals' reactions

It was way too cloudy to see the eclipse here this morning but the dogs all acted very strangely. Some had gone outside to the toilet when I opened the back door, but not all of them. Then as it got darker, they all retreated to the living room and curled up and went to sleep. Even putting bread in the toaster, which is usually quite exciting to some of them, none of them stirred. Then as it passed over and got lighter again, it was almost as though a switch had been flicked, up they all got, and outside.

    How did other pets react?

Both the cats are asleep on our bed as usual, so I don't think they noticed it at all to be honest!

Dog was sunbathing, solar eclipse interferred with that and she wasnt impressed. Normal behaviour really.

All 3 cats were asleep at their various spots. No reaction or interest :P. Also it was cloudy so nothing to see anyway.

Two of my cats slept through it. Their mother went to the back door as it approached totality. Before I could open it she growled strangely and decided to hide under the bed until it was over.

One of my dogs didn't seem to care, my other dog began walking in circles once it got noticeably darker and didn't stop until it was normal again.
