Anyone use a wattbike as part of their Ironman training?

Is there a big benefit, if any at all, over using a turbo?

I have trained extensively with a turbo before, so is it just a case of using the same type of sessions on a wattbike?

    Thanks,

    NT.

    Howya,

I use one regularly (2-3 times a week). It's a good tool alright but not cheap. It probably does feel more realistic than a normal turbo but if you have a turbo that measures power (Tacx Flow or similar) then i think theres better things to be spending a big wad of cash on. You could get an SRM for similar bucks and be able to use that in training and racing.
