You can hire by the half day full day or the week. I don't know the price

How big is the lawn? Would you not just get a lend of one?

Its anglers walk Carlow, you know it? Left the garden go a bit in the winter and wanted to clean it a bit. cant do much as My young kids would destroy my good garden work hahaha sadly i don't know any one and my landlord has refused to but us either a shed or a lawnmower. I wouldn't mind buying a lawnmower at least if we moved we could bring it with us but a shed isn't posable and i douth the landlord would reimburse us.

Well if you are willing to buy one then there is en electric mower coming on sale in lidl at the end of the month that might be an option - http://www.lidl.ie/en/Offers.htm?id=444 and Aldi already had a petrol one on offer on Thursday https://www.aldi.ie/en/specialbuys/thur-19-mar/
Good thing is that these come with 3 year guarantee

A small electric mower would do the job. Most have a folding/detachable handle so should be easy enough to store outdoors in a plastic bunker/compact shed or homemade box, you don't necessarily need a full size shed to own a mower.

I like the electric one but have no where to store it, literately no where. My friend bought one of them longish storage boxes (see pic) and puts his in there but is that safe with an electric? and do you think the electric would fit inside?

A space 1m long x 0.5m wide x 1m high should be adequate but it depends on the mower. You can get a larger box such as this or this if you need it. I'd have no safety concerns about storing an electric mower in a box.

Not sure if you got sorted afterwards Tony but there is a petrol mower coming up in Lidl on Thursday 16th April http://www.lidl.ie/en/Offers.htm?id=460 and there was a small electric one in Aldi from Monday last https://www.aldi.ie/en/specialbuys/mon-6-apr/products-detail-page/ps/p/essential-hover-mower/
