Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I don't think he looks rattled at all. And, the letter was anonymous, so we can take it that anyone could have written it, even himself! I never agree with any media outlet publishing or printing letters written by anonymous writers, or the cop out (name and address with editor). They mean nothing. They have no credibility and should not be published. If the letter is not signed by a person then it's not a letter.

he's the Eamon Dunphy of the rugby world,

you either love him or loathe him

personally speaking i think he's great he makes great TV, (like Dunphy)

Except Eamon actually played football professionally and built his life around the sport.

George never laced up a pair of boots in his life and has managed to schmooze his way into a career as an 'expert'

George Hook coached, among other teams, Connacht, London Irish and the US international team. Hardly the record of a man who never laced up a pair of boots in his life, as you put it.

He would been paid for his rugby career only the game was amateur at the time ;)

Sweet copying and pasting from Wikipedia bro. Yeah he was a coach for Connacht in the amateur-era, when it meant virtually nothing.

And his assistant coach was Eddie O'Sullivan. Who did all the work, by all accounts.

Hook got the top job in the US, and brought assistant coach Eddie with him. He then continued to do absolutely nothing, to the point where he lost the job within a year and his assistant was promoted ahead of him.

Eddie used the reputation he built to get higher and higher profile jobs, culminating in Ireland coach.
After his US stint, Hook's reputation was such that he couldn't get another coaching position and never coached professionally again.

I think I might be right in saying you don't like George?
