vibrating noise in house any suggestions

    Have a vibrating sound in the house it is there day and night have tried plummer he said it is not water got new tv ariel noise still there can anyone help i can still hear when i have ear plugs in at night getting no sleep statring to hate coming in the house it is constantly there even turned off the meter humming still there if you can please help.

    Hi Susan,

    We in Electric Ireland look after account, billing, sales and home services queries; it is ESB Networks that are the people who deal with safety concerns in relation to the electricity network/electricity meters. ESB Networks are not on Boards.ie but they are on Twitter. Their telephone numbers are 1850 372 999 and 1850 372 757.

    We would recommend asking them whether they think this issue is in relation to your electricity supply or whether it is due to something in the internal wiring. If it is not related to your electricity supply/meter, and is something in the internal wiring, it would be a matter for an electrician.

    We hope this can be resolved quickly.
