Withdrawals at an aib atm in Cork showing an aib atm in waterford on statement, account is actually ptsb. Is this a possible mistake?

Not really enough information to go on without the full descriptions

Possible the ATM was moved from Waterford to Cork and whichever database matches ATM IDs to locations hasn't been updated yet?

If you ring the AIB branch local to that ATM they should be able to investigate for you.

There were 24 withdrawals made over the course of 2012 from a ptsb account but statement shows these withdrawals being made at an aib atm waterford, it is claimed that the withdrawals were made at an aib atm in Cork. It's hard to accept thi.... Someone who may have had a card is claiming this....

Tell them to check their T&C and any additional terms on the statement, I think you'll find that the timeframe for querying the statement is long gone.

It is certainly possible that an ATM is misconfigured and reports the wrong location, same with POS machine in a Shop, but it would be unlikely to continue for long, eventually someone complains.

A friend had an issue with a purchase in a big multi-national retailer, he bought something in Germany, but the terminal was registered in Portugal, and his card got cancelled before he realised what happened.
