I was considering having my stag in Sligo in August for one night – just wondering if anyone had any advice.

    Is the nightlife good?

Are there many pubs & clubs?

Near to Bundoran, go get surfing lessons for the day, then drink till you pass out.

Make sure you get to climb Benbulben with experienced mountaineer, Áine Chambers.

I imagine you'd get more serious answers in the Sligo forum but maybe that's just me.

Depends what you want from your stag tbh. Sligo is a lovely place, no matter what the weather is like. As others have said, it's not far from Fundoran or Carrick on Shannon....if Sligo doesn't tick the boxes.

My limited experiences with the pubs were always good. A group of my friends went up for a stag weekend last week and had a great time.

    Best of luck

What ever did happen to Áine Chambers? Seems it was unlikely that she could ever go back to a normal life after the heights of fame she reached and everything she did to inspire the young women of Ireland.

It's hard to tell the women from men out there. But a good indicator is that the men usually have slightly more facial hair and they wear black wellies, as opposed to the green ones the women wear

No matter what, the night HAS to end in the 4 lights! Pubs, activities etc before that are irrelevant!

And Shells in Strandhill for the hangover fry. It'll cure the worst of poisonings.

Last time I was in the 4 lights I had a drink thrown over me.

    By a accident.

There was a boy trying to talk chips to me and his friend walked, he threw a chip at his friend and in return the friend threw his drink back but being pissed completely missed and got me instead. The looks of horror on both their faces was priceless :pac:
