Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Where is the best place to buy games online?

I'm a brick/mortar customer, always have been, and buying online has never been something I've preferred (I have horrible patience) but I think, given the ridiculous robbery of prices games are these days, it might be an obvious choice at this stage.

So could someone help a newbie out? Where can I go online to buy games that won't rob me blind? If there is a thread dedicated to this kind of query then I'm sorry. Thanks again :o

Update: This is mostly for console games as Steam already has my number with their buying service.

I find there's not one best place but here's a list of the ones I use.

    Amazon
    ShopTo
    TheGameCollection
    Gameseek
    Coolshop
    Tesco
    GAME

Bearing in mind I'm UK-based so not really sure how much postage will set you back with the above. :o

I usually go to Amazon.co.uk as a first port of call, but the exchange rate is horrendous at the moment which puts B&M shops back as an option :(

VGP and amazon are the two I use.

What kind of internet do you have?

Steam can deliver all their games on download, and they have some great offers.

Much appreciated. I will have a look at each.

I agree. I just came off of Amazon there now and it didn't look pleasing to the eye (the rate)

Sorry I should have specified that. I'm okay when it comes to Steam. I'm merely talking about physical games for consoles (for PC, though, it really depends on the actual product)

This, bloodborne was costing 70 euro with amazon , so I got it for 53 with vgp but will have to wait for it longer obviously.

I've just started using Kinguin.... They're okay to use right? I'm not going to have my steam account banned?

ive used that type a few times. as have many others, yet to hear of someone being banned.

Just reading in the PC gaming forum where someone put up a similar thread about how one lad has had games pulled months down the line after buying them on Kinguin with a warning that it was due to non payment and further such activity can result in a steam ban. Will wait for clarification on what and how the games where purchased.
