Hey posters, hope this is the right place to ask!

I am in the process of building a pedalboard. My current (and main) OD/Distortion setup on the board is an Ibanez TS9 stacked with an EH Big Muff Wicker. Great sound but I am looking for another pedal to give me a completely different sound to these 2. While having more than 2 OD/Distortion pedals may be frowned upon, I am just looking for complete coverage for a range perspective.

Currently unused in the gear box I have a BOSS DS-1, Blues Driver and Metal Zone. None of these seem to catch what I am after. I am thinking an Overdrive pedal would give me the different tone I am looking for. While I could use the amp's overdrive feature, I think I would rather have the pedal on the board, so I can maintain the sound when using other amps aside from my own.

So would an overdrive be my best bet? Or could anyone recommend another option?
