Where can i find a steaming lid for a griddle ?

Been using these in work but cant seem to find anywhere in Ireland online that sells them.

I mentioned it in work but cant find it on any of the places mentioned.

I know they can be called basting lids serving lids or steaming lids.

There is one on Amazon but there is no way i am paying fifty odd euro for it!!.

If anyone is not sure what im talking about there the dome shaped lids that are used to put on top of burgers or steaks when frying them. Also great for melting cheese on burgers.

I just use a dome shaped saucepan pan lid if I need to. Or I turn the wok upside down on it

I have a pot that kinda does the job but not fully. Looking for the actual thing so it will keep the heat and stream trapped.

That postage is ridiculous but you could use parcel motel to get it from £24.95 (AHAHAHA) to £4.95 + €3.95. None of my normal go-to spots for kitchen stuff (www.sweeneyorourke.com or nisbets.ie) seem to have them

I'd be tempted to look for a simple deep cake tin, drill a hole in the centre and fit a knob (from Woodies or similar.) I'm sure you could do that for a lot less than £15 + postage.

had been think the same a while back and thought something like this might work instead of the cake tin, probably pick one up cheap enough in a pet store:

Yes, we have a stainless steel pet bowl like that too, but without the hanging bracket, and I considered suggesting that, but stainless steel can be pretty difficult to drill through.

Get a large stainless steel mixing bowl in any €2 shop and turn it over. Use a spatula/tongs to remove it when it gets hot.
