Looking for a good gaming laptop, €1000 Budget

    Hey guys,

So I have a budget of exactly €1000, and I'm looking for a decent gaming laptop. Don't bother saying to build my own desktop as I already have one. I travel a lot so being able to play games on the go would be nice! And it would also be used for college.

I don't play very high end games, mostly stuff like Dota 2, and occasionally something like Hitman Absolution or similar games. I'm preferably looking for a 17", or 15" if I have to.

This is the one I'm looking into at the moment: MSI GP70 2PE 17.3-inch Notebook

But if you guys know of anything better, let me know! I will need to order it tomorrow, as I will be going away at the end of next week.

EDIT: I do a lot of motion graphics so it must have decent graphics and RAM!

Acer Aspire V (15/17) Nitro or PCSpecialist Optimus are worth a look.

Try get your hands on a MSI GS70 Stealth, have mine a year, can't recommend it enough
I got mine sent over for about 1100 from a Canadian store though

Damn, that laptop looks beautiful! But the only Irish/UK retailers sell at around 1500 :(

I think I might settle for the PC Specialist Cosmos 2, It looks like a beast for its price!

The Cosmo 2 only has a DDR3 GTX850 available. It's alright but a little underpowered.

If you can spring for a GDDR5 variant in a laptop I'd go for that.

Amazon.co.uk have a good deal on the ASUS N550JK-CM531H at the moment, it is reduced from £799 to £673 (c.€975)

This has a quad core i7 (4710HQ) processor, 8GB of RAM a 1TB HD and an NVIDIA GTX850

The reviews have been quite good

    Thanks, it looks really good!

It has a very minimal design which I love, and the power is incredible! I just ordered this one now and I should expect it next week. I can't wait for it to arrive!

    Thanks for the recommendation :)
