Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Talk in today's Irish Times of UPC introducing a feature called "Replay TV" later in the year, which would essentially tie the TV players and the EPG together allowing you to scroll backwards in the EPG and play selected content. Interesting concept though with only the Irish channels providing players perhaps a bit limited. (And like so many things these days with UPC, probably limited to Horizon customers - though I should suggest that no such suggestion is in the article).

I can't see it being tied to players. I've seen this implemented around Europe, providing at least a 7 day catch up for most channels. Landed on a program in progress you get the option to replay from the start. Shows which have aired are streamed. The cable company essentially records all channels for 7 days. Unlike catch up or player TV the shows are streamed as broadcast, with original ads etc. Thus it creates a cloud DVR.

Just been having a look at UPC Cablecom's (Switzerland) version and it offers all programmes for 30 hours, so just over a day, and includes the UK terrestrials. It's the Irish Times article which mentions it being tied to TV players. It may be that copyright law in Ireland is more restrictive in this regard - I'd imagine UPC would have to get the agreement of every channel to offer the service (and some of these would have to go back and get agreement in turn from rights holders) which potentially could hold up the launch a bit.
