Helicopters Flying Overhead in Cork

Does anybody know why there are helicopters flying overhead in Cork all evening? Has there been a bad accident or what?

meh, idk was just speculating but traffic can be a bitch around 1pm which afaik is when the incident happened

Helicopters flying overhead didn't bother me but I was becoming concerned that something bad had happened. I was aware of the tragedy in U.C.C. but didn't think that in itself could be the reason. I thought, in the meantime, that it could have been a completely unrelated reason, perhaps to do with organ donation. It may have even been some helicopter pilot in training. Whatever the reason, thank you for your comments, R.I.P. the student in U.C.C. and my sympathies to his family.
