Hickey furniture in this amazing barn house.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,693 ✭✭✭Lisha

The kitchen colours scheme is way too bland for me

    New judge loves her cushions!

Really love this show! Wish I had money:(
Even if I won the lotto I wouldn't move from my dormered bungalow but oh to have money to do the things I'd love to do with it.
Guess I'll just have to make do with painting again:)

The first house has to be the winner tonight.

  • Registered Users Posts: 20,653 ✭✭✭✭amdublin

I'd like to have a shower in that!

I'd nearly give it to the plastic house!

Not mad about the third house and getting a bit bored of all the white in those 3 houses,

It looks like the owners are terrified of making a faux pas tastewise

Apart from the shower I don't really care for the third house.

  • Registered Users Posts: 20,653 ✭✭✭✭amdublin

    I enjoyed that!

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,713 ✭✭✭BabysCoffee

    Worthy winner!

But more architectural than homey I think??

    You called it!

I would have said first house

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,257 ✭✭✭BettePorter

Meh..... apart from the originality of the plastic box ..... I didn't find the winning house in anyway nice.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,713 ✭✭✭BabysCoffee

Well Week 1 has certainly divided opinion on here!!

Yeah I guess they look at things differently from what I would. Too bland and too many straight edges in that house for me. Feel I would get fed up of it very quickly. Love the first two. Barn would win for me but only because thats my taste..

Liking the new female judge. 3 amazing houses, my favourite was the first one. Very brave move to rip the interior from a building like that. Loved the red dot space. I'd happily sit there with a pot of coffee.
House 2 was gorgeous and I loved the furniture but the layout was strange. The bathroom position was weird. Grand when there's only a couple in the house but wait till they have kids. You wouldn't be coming out of the shower wrapped in a towel with a teenage son and his mates sprawled in front of the telly
Loved the idea of house 3, the bathroom was worthy of a programme of it's own. It was incredible. However, I wasn't a fan of the amount of plastic and monochrome inside. It felt like a temporary dwelling with a 1990s batchelor apartment decor.

The barn house was the winner for me :)

Brave design the polycarbonate house but he only had about 25% of the room of the others. A bit of coloured polycarbonate would have toned it down !
