I have seen the two guys with the black chalet before.Nice views and would have got my vote. Not too keen on the orange comeback which is pure 1970's

I wouldn't be mad about orange either but at this stage, I have had such an overdose of the "white with a grey feature wall" that I am ready for orange or polka dots. Come to that though, even beige seems daring compared to the white/grey mix at this stage.

It's on RTÉ player. I just gave it a spin. I would have given it to the thatched cottage…so much unforced personality. So cosy and warm looking. Beautiful, outside and in.

The Clifden house didn't rock my boat. A gorgeous home but it lacked warmth and from the outside it looked like a home that was trying too hard.

The log cabin was a fantastic example of what can be achieved in such a small space and when a basic structure is treated with loving care, so I understand why they gave it the top spot.

A lot of comments about liking Deirdre..I do too! I didn't see the first series…was there a judge that got the chop?

Yes, Helen James was dropped. Not sure why, she is a design consultant. Maybe she disagreed a little too much with Hugh and Declan ?;)

Deirdre is less "WOWWWW" than Helen was, which is a relief.

And she has excellent taste in clothes - I have the same top as she was wearing the other night :D

Been racking my brains about the couple with the chalet by the lake. Were they on 'Grand Designs ' ?

    Great chemistry between judges

Not mad about that first house. Too much thought and not enough heart in it. There are a few nice things but on the whole i find it quite boring.

Was this house featured in examiner?

  • Registered Users Posts: 299 ✭✭awanderer

    Second house could be interesting.

I do like this house. I can see how those in the know would appreciate the light etc but it gives me a very liveable feel,

Not only him, I would say.

This modernist house is my dream house

  • Registered Users Posts: 299 ✭✭awanderer

I rather like this second house. Not blown away by it and agree about the dining table being too small but I certainly prefer over the first one.

You won! We will have to wait till the end to see if he was the only one giving it a ten (I'd say so as I didn't expect the eight.
