Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I dont doubt hodges meant it as a joke but it more than likely didnt come across that way to the stewards. And if they got the wrong end if it they would if course report it. As would any other club. Doesnt quite fit in to the ref complex narrative so maybe its not worth mentioning

I think that if the stewards in a club believe that where they direct a ref to park is enough for that ref to cost the team 7 points then, yes, I do believe that club has a ref complex.

Can't see us winning a highly physical game. So see the way to go as being fast running game. Would like to see marmion magic breaking lines and opening the game up

Ronaldson is out with illness. Conor Finn starts at 12 with Nikora coming onto the bench.

    0-3 to Connacht

Carty puts a good kick into the corner after kicking on the full earlier.

Billy Holland try! CJ picks up from the base of the scrum, Connacht's pillar defence nowhere to be seen and Holland picks and dives in.

Some dreadful kicks from hand from Keatley so far

Disappointing crowd for a local derby.

Keep misrepresenting. Hodges arrived late and wanted to access the car park at far end of the clan side. The access was unavailable however, as the gates had already been set up for pedestrian entry. Hodges demanded the gates be removed and by all accounts a heated exchange ensued, at the end of which Hodges made the remark in question. A lot more to the story than how you portray it, and any club steward would report it up the line

Smith as an outside back should be looking to skin a mid thirties backrow there. End with another drop.

Serious gas by Healy to clean that up.

Thank Christ that Matt Healy exists. Silly knock-on

    Super by Duncan!

Dreadful defence let TOH through earlier.

Another turnover in Conn's 22. Argh.

This is very frustrating. Munster are giving away a lot of poor penalties.

They need to get Keith in the centre and on the ball more often.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Carty misses but it was a kick to nothing from that position.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Great turnover from Guinazu after a TOD tackle. He's been impressive in the loose as per recent matches.

Buckley having an absolute stormer at the breakdown

    Denis Buckley MOTM so far!

    Connacht line out is woeful.
Should have more points in the board

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Stupid stupid by DOC. Clearly grabbed McCartney around the neck.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

7-3 HT. Poor fare so far.

Buckley like a limpet over the ball on the ground - was that 5 turnovers in 40 mins?!

Edit: it was 4, still seriously impressive!

Nice to see us creating so many line breaks but we are not converting them into points.
Poor turnovers and penalties killing all our momentum.

1986! They're only 4 points down so a bit early to be saying inevitable...

I hope you win as a leinster fan but I'm unlucky expecting other teams to win

    Buckley... AGAIN!

Very disappointing return for Connacht from these visits to the Munster 22

The inconsistency with free kick advantage is baffling. Earlier Munster had free kick advantage and the booted it and got the ball back for no apparent advantage. Just now Connacht had it and passed it sideways and the call was advantage over.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,818 ✭✭✭Inspector Coptoor

    Agreed.

The ball went backwards and he called advantage over but there was no advantage.

Yellow card could be on the way for Donnchadha

  • Administrators Posts: 54,110 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

How was that a penalty? The ball was out.

Poor defence from Connacht. Pack lost their work rate there, should be the score that opens the dam.

Williams lucky not to get pinged for taking players off the ball.

  • Administrators Posts: 54,110 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

Good try indeed, not often you see teams form a maul there.

Huge carry from Earls in the middle of all that

Munster kick ball forward from free kick advantage this time results in advantage over. :D

Dubious maul, don't think a defender had engaged DOC at the front before it was passed to man at the back
