I have to send a cheque for £20 overseas.

If I go into a/my bank, will they be able to write a check in £? Or do I have to do something different (like drive up north!).

Your bank can issue a sterling draft. There are fees for doing so, nothing huge but at the same time it's a lot for £20.

    Thanks.

Yes I can't believe I have to send a cheque in this day and age...

Can you not do an electronic transfer?

Depends on the bank. KBC do not issue cheques / bank drafts.

They won't accept anything other than a cheque... and they're a huge multinational company! I can't understand, and haven't the energy to argue with them.

Can you not give them a cheque in € to equivalent value?

Ok then I'll rephrase...the majority of banks issue drafts. That better?
