there hasn't been a whole lot happenning over the last few weeks, the models are flirting with a NE influence on our weather, there's some major trough disruption taking place next week over Scandinavia as the same time the jet profile goes from being flat to undulating. the disruption has the effect of drawing down very cold uppers from the arctic from iceland down the North Sea, all of Scotland under -10 uppers by thursday morning and northern Ireland just on the edge, I still would'nt be suprised to see an early April snowfall in the NE of Ireland. some interesting weather coming up

Most likely scenario is settled long term and it could turn warm or very warm in the next couple of weeks. There is no sign of any significant cold incursions and, as is always at this time of year, the cold air retreat in to the Artic and the pole is quite fast now so even a sustained northerly would struggle to deliver winter weather. That time has passed.
