I notice in my start uo programs "E_SCO" HKCU\SOFTWARE\microsoft software....It appears twice. I haven't noticed them before. are they safe to delete. Thanks.

That looks like a strain of Backdoor.Win32.Hupigon.esco which injects malicious files and registry entries to your computer.

Just note that messing around in the registry is always risky. Try running Malwarebytes or ADWCleaner and see if they pick up any threats.
