Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Learner Accompanied by a foreign licence holder

Just wondering if it's ok for me as a learner to be accompanied by a person who holds a full foreign licence, and has done for more than 2 years?

The only information I can find on it is from citizensinformation.ie which states:

"Car drivers with a learner permit must be accompanied at all times by, and be under the supervision of, someone with a current driving licence for a car. Also, the person accompanying you must have had the driving licence for at least 2 years."

It doesn't say it needs to be an Irish licence holder.

What country was the licence holder's licence issued in?

It's issued from France, but the full licence driver currently lives in NI and drives around there legally. That is the extent of my knowledge.

Assuming he's held it for more than two years, then yes it's fine. EU licences are interchangeable.
