Now that's a chase! Great pressure

Good game for the neutral, some good running rygby. Leinster failing at the basics as usual but pulling some nice moves out of the bag.

Losing both Maccer and Denton is hurting the line-out, but that's been an issue for a while too. Our scrum isn't great, and our maul defence could be better. Some of our defending, particularly first up tackles, has been really poor.

It's an interesting dynamic though. We've only been in their 22 twice (?) and both times were as a result of exploiting gaps around half way and getting our tries. We're struggling to win the territory battle, but we haven't needed to to get the tries. Edinburgh, on the other hand, are finding it much easier to get into our 22. We're not kicking it that much which makes the territory battle harder, but we could be making more ground than we are with ball in hand. A few times we've looked like one guy didn't know what the next was doing.

Also, hold-fix-give. At this stage the lads need to be told to stand in front of the mirror reciting that over and over every morning.....

    So who's on the bench

Denton was on for Maccer, Conan then on for Denton so we've used our lock and back row. No more injuries thanks....

Kirchner having a poor game, nearly all of his touches so far have been turnovers

    That's brutal from SOB there

Knock on caught by a guy in front.

    That's a penalty Nigel.

Leinster attack starts good, pass that isn't on is thrown, Edinburgh turnover and we decide hugs are better than tackles. It's so frustrating to see certain elements working and looking positive but then other basic things being done so badly.

Tbh I think he was just frustrated as the Ruck previous was blatantly edinburgh off their feet, really dangerously too

    Good work for that try

Boom & Kirchner nails the one that counts. Good play there, some nice touches from Rob, Mads & Heaslip

Much better there. The offloading on the far wing made it. Kirchner could have brought that in a bit more.

That's another lovely try. Two of th best scores I've seen us make all season.

    Great try. Madigan's doing well

Even when Kirchner gets a try he could have done better, sums up his game

Haha that was so funny, mads knew a cut out would get it, screaming for it, and son gets it instead. Luckily sob transferred. Madigan was like "oh, oh, a cut off that WILL work! Vindication!!"

Kirchner really off the boil tho, could've gotten it closer to the posts, his head is all over the shop.

    Jesus who kicked that?

  • Registered Users Posts: 911 ✭✭✭Irlandczyk

And again: spark of brilliance followed by absolute shambles. WTF are we so schizophrenic?

  • Registered Users Posts: 30,308 Mod ✭✭✭✭.ak

What the?? Tackle is completed there.

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,169 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Leinster's defence really has gone to pot over the course of the season.

    Mads I think.

Poor defensive work from Dave there. Just shouldered Visser in the legs. Another cheap score given up. Positives in attack today, but my God our defence has been a shambles.

Did someone jump out of the way calling the tackle? Didn't see who it was

Is it me or is Seanie having a poor game......
