Ugh. I don't have the energy for all these people. Grand, yeah, we're sh*t, we're doomed, Cullen out.

This place has got hard to read since the world cup. I find myself taking time out from the forum because of some of the nonsense getting posted.

Plenty of it is just wind up stuff which you always get, but my god there are some bizarre opinions floating around here these days.

Is anybody still waiting for tickets for Toulon via Ticketmaster? I bought mine on the day of release and am still waiting on a delivery.

A load of tickets got mixed up in the post so I'd get on to the ticket office about that if I were you. My wifes ticket ended up in the same envelope as her mothers partner, which was just blind luck really as they have never shared a STH account or lived at the same address when STHs or anything.

Just post witty and sarcastic stuff, hoping that the years of good posting gives you some buffering and that you'll get away with it for a few more months until normal service resumes.

Not yesterday we weren't. Worst overall performance from him in a series of below par performances for the last 6 weeks.

    Nobody should be untouchable.

Unless the only other options are worse again. In which case we have no choice.

This crazy notion that because someone isn't playing well they should be given the hook regardless is so reactionary. A player should only be given the hook when the replacement is going to improve things. It's madness to replace a guy with someone who is worse just for the sake of it.

With a capital P? Does that make it particularly high brow or smutty? Or is it just that important to you? :D

I want you to know that I tried for 3 - 4 minutes to come up with a clever pun to respond to this with but eventually I just had gave up.

It's because there is "P" in it.

    Yeah whatevs.

Something Something, Venjur likes it when there's a big P in Porno, something something.

    That's all I got.

A False dichotomy is often used to portray a contrary viewpoint as specious.

When used in combination with a Straw Man the fallacies become even more apparent.

In short. Viewing the Leinster setup as 'the best thing on earth and nothing is wrong at all' has never once been suggested, and is not the opposite to the suggestion that you've presented.

The reality lies somewhere in the middle, most posters are comfortable enough accepting that we're nowhere near where we could be, but that we're also not really at the 'burn it all down and start again' stage either.

What are they doing wrong off the pitch and what exactly is done off the pitch that affects their performance?

Nobody's happy with the results at the moment, but if you think that things can improve instantly you're setting yourself up for disappointment. Criticising a new management team is a pretty useless exercise when we know that it's not going to be changed again this season. Never mind the ridiculous notion of firing the management mid-season, there isn't a snowball's chance of getting a new coach whatever the slim chances of getting one at the end of the season are.

Michael Cheika and Joe Schmidt weren't instant successes and both had a full pre season with the players.

So long as we see steady incremental improvement as the season progresses, I'll be happy to reserve judgment until the end of the season. MOC's curve was a downward one, so if it doesn't improve, I'll be right beside you with the pitchfork and the flaming torch.

At the end of the season... I'm not a child, throwing the toys out of the pram when they don't do what I want.

I totally agree. That is what many of the "World Cup hangover" club are doing.

The "world cup hangover" club is your straw man argument.

There is definitely a "World Cup hangover" club here. Delusional to say otherwise.

It's a sin to criticise anything Leinster do either on or off the pitch on these forums.

It definitely is not, there's been plenty of criticism of Leinster over the years and very long discussions around their problems. You obviously don't have a clue.

It IS a sin however to just make up nonsense and speak with authority about it. This "club" you're talking about, people saying that Leinster are only struggling because of the World Cup, exist purely in your imagination.

It's always a sign of the strength of someone's argument when they resort to a generic gif to make their point :)

Well I had resorted to words, logic and reason. But when you blatantly ignored what I said and instead went off on one and totally twisted what I said I figured rather than getting wound up about it, sure I may as well have some fun with it.

Don't worry I won't be doing it again, nor engaging with you in any way again, until you show at least an attempt to discuss as opposed to preach. Good luck.

Both of you cop on. And if you have a problem with a post, report it, do not backseat mod. I suggest you both take a step back or we'll be having more than words...

I decided to do some research. I went back through posts during Matt O'Connor's era. Surely that was a period where even the most ardently pro Leinster posters could not possibly defend how the team were playing and being coached but lo and behold the exact same excuses were being churned out by the same posters.

Leinster are an average team, full of overhyped players being coached by a novice. They are probably going to end their european campaign having lost every single game.

Yet the cheerleaders on here will eat your head off for daring to criticize their Leinster darlings. Its pathetic, the team are playing ****, the players are not performing at all and yet still there's fan boys here praising them and making excuse after excuse for their heroes.

ah the old chest nut "you obviously dont have a clue", us knowledgeable fans know better . There is a no criticism of Leinster rule in force here and a number of influential posters bully anyone who tries to criticize the team

All that research and not a single quote.
