I'm actually really looking forward to endless Ocean. Loves the two Wii games. Very relaxing but with enough objectives to give the right amount of player agency.

I have added a few games to my backlog in the last couple of weeks, including Penny's Big Breakaway, Pocket Card Jockey, Geometry Survivor, Slime Rancher (on sale) and Balatro.

Need to finish Prince of Persia first or I'll have trouble getting back into it.

It's ridiculous what great games are still ending up on Switch.

MS probably overlook a load of games like Pocket Card Jockey and Penny's Big Breakaway when they splash around the billions because they are not another miserable first person shooter.

Is performance okay? I read a couple of people say there's clipping and iffy frame rate and it's a bit unpolished. Looks good to me on videos I've seen though.

Hope is for chumps, but there has been a lot of noise around Silksong in the last few weeks.

You'd imagine it would be Microsoft that gets to showcase Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Will watch this later. Silk Song being there, but doubt it will be, is probably the only thing that could make this exciting. We haven't had a proper Direct this year and it seems we won't be getting one until next month at the earliest, but more likely June.

Not bad. A few nice surprises.

Might not be for everyone, but I liked the look of Stitch (a shikaku puzzle with a lovely knitted look)

The TMNT roguelike looks good too.

Animal Well is getting a great buzz over the last few months, and that's out in a few weeks.

Never really got into Steamworld Heist, so the sequel doesn't appeal to me too much. I want Steamworld Dig 3. 🙂

It could be nothing, but I was looking for Nintendo Switch news and saw Nintendo have a Nintendo Direct news page. Where they've announced that Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance's release date has been moved up a week from 21st June, 2024 (Friday) to 14th June, 2024 (Friday). Maybe this was done to coincide with the Direct.

I know, I seen that after. The moving of the date was announced back in March and is across all platforms. So maybe it's nothing, but that webpage looks completely different now to when I clicked on it about an hour ago. And I mean completely different. There were no images or talk of the other games you see now. It was just about Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance. It was full of Japanese text that I had to use Google Translate on. So someone was working on it in the last couple of hours. And the Google search I did at the time was for Nintendo Switch news from the past hour.

It was closer to what it looks like now back in February after the direct. You can see a bit of a snapshot on the wayback machine but it's not great.

Just didn't have all the games listed beneath the video. I wouldn't read too much into pages getting updating, especially when many of the games aren't released yet. They'll likely update it as release dates get updated and games release. They've done that in the past so people who stumble onto older direct summaries know that titles are now available.

"InnerSloth accidentally uploaded a video (which has now been made private) that revealed three new roles for Among Us. The video states that the new roles will be coming to the game on June 18th, and will include Tracker, Noisemaker, and Phantom roles. Why is this notable? Well, InnerSloth has announced updates during Nintendo Direct presentations in the past, including a new map that was revealed back in September 2023. Basically, there's precedent"

Metroid Prime 2 remaster shadow drop again would be nice. I’m torn between remasters of Prime 2 and 3 before 4. On one hand I’d play them, on the other hand might it create Metroid fatigue. Though I acknowledge the irony in complaining about too many Metroid games LOL.

I do think Metroid Prime 4 will move to Switch 2 or at worst be a “cross gen” game. But it wouldn’t be “THE” launch game.

I think most Metroid Prime fans would prefer to have it on the more powerful system so not many would be upset if they did punt it to Switch 2 and threw out remasters on Switch to tied people over.
