I don't think it has anything to do with a Chibi-Robo game, I think they just knew a lot of people were watching their Twitter for announcement of the Direct and just tweeted that.

The 2 images could be hinting at new games from their respective franchises. The first is obviously Chibi-Robo. The second is a costume from Tomodachi Life.

I own all of the Wii U games and a fair few I haven't really touched... I'd love if Nintendo brought a few of them to the Switch. I just find it a much easier console to pick up and play. The Wii U always felt like a little bit of hassle for some reason.
